प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने अर्जेंटीना में आयोजित किए गए 2018 ग्रीष्मकालीन युवा ओलंपिक के पदक विजेताओं से रविवार को मुलाकात की और उन्हें सम्मानित किया।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने उनसे आग्रह भी किया कि वे आने वाले ओलंपिक में मंच पर पहुंचने के अपने लक्ष्य पर ध्यान केंद्रित करें और कड़ी मेहनत करें। प्रधानमंत्री ने एथलीटों को यह आश्वासन दिया कि सरकार उन्हें सभी आवश्यक सहायता और सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराएगी।
प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि युवा एथलीटों को अपने स्कूलों और गांवों में युवाओं को खेलों में शामिल होने के लिए प्रेरित करना चाहिए।
प्रधानमंत्री ने पदक विजेता एथलीटों के प्रशिक्षकों को वैश्विक स्तर पर भारत का प्रोफाइल बढ़ाने में दिए गए उनके योगदान की भी सराहना की।
